We are based in the heart of The Dartmoor National Park in South Devon.
From the love for my own dogs & seeing the need for many dogs that may have anxiety & be reactive in the grooming environment, Hairy Beasts Pet Grooming has grown.
Working with your dog I provide a one to one grooming service, ensuring that their grooming experience will be calm, relaxed & tailored to their individual needs.
I am City & Guilds qualified in Dog Grooming & currently studying for a Diploma in Canine Dog Behaviour.
I am fully insured, along with being DBS checked & Pet First Aid trained.

About the owner
Hi. My name is Denise
I have always had a love for animals from a very young age, from the small to large. I have kept rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, frogs, snails & also a family cat in addition to dogs. You name it, if I could find a way of having a pet, I would find it. I also have a love for horses, having worked with them & riding them is one of my many hobbies.
January 2022 I started on my grooming journey with a year’s apprenticeship, eventually changing the apprenticeship to gain my City & Guilds level 2 grooming. Working with a highly qualified & experienced groomer & tutor I was fortunate to earn lots of experience & knowledge working full time, not only in dog grooming but also involving cat grooming, small animals, first aid, health & safety & many more achievements to add.
In my second year, while building up Hairy Beasts Pet grooming, I had the privilege of being able to freelance & gain further experience with qualified mobile groomers & other groomers with Salons in the area. And also pet sitting & dog walking along the way.
So here we are today and I own and run, Hairy Beasts Pet Grooming. I am currently studying for a Diploma in Canine Behaviour, along with improving & furthering my knowledge in Cooperative Care.
